The mountain dulcimer is one of the easiest string instruments to play — and with this kit, it’s just as easy to build. In about an hour, with a screwdriver and glue, you’ll have a real, playable 4-string lap dulcimer.

Cherry pre-fretted neck · laser-cut Baltic birch body · no cutting, drilling, or clamps.

After building our two diy kits we needed cases for them. I saw Jaromins had cases for their boondocker guitars, So I went online and asked " a very interesting question" according to Patrick at Jaromin. Would the DIY kits fit the boondocker case. " Let me go back and check" was his response. So short story long, YES! They fit. Snug as a bug in a rug you would say. These will be perfect and a very reasonable price. The cases are well made and will be welcome protection on our trip to the blue ridge area this summer, I also picked up two of the boondocker straps ( with the pick holders) and with an addition of a guitar strap button these fit the DIY dulcimers very well.
