Do I need any prior music experience?
No. The Trailhead and Companion are built for people who have never played. The app walks you through tuning and your first three chords, and the fretboard is laid out so the notes under your fingers belong together.
What device do I need for the app?
An iPhone, an Android phone, or any browser. Trailhead Companion is free. There is no account, and the microphone is only used on your device.
Can I use the app later?
Yes. The instrument stands on its own, and Companion is there whenever you want guided tuning, another chord, or a song to play.
