Boondocker App Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Boondocker companion app from Jaromin LLC (Android, iOS, and the web app at start.jaromin.com). It is a tuner and 5-minute guided start for the Boondocker Trailhead and other D-A-D Boondockers.

The jaromin.com store privacy policy covers shopping on our website. This page is only about the companion app.

What the app does not do

  • No account, sign-in, or password.
  • No advertising, tracking pixels, or analytics SDKs.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information.
  • No camera, location, contacts, photos, or files access.

Microphone

The tuner uses the microphone only after you start listening. Audio is analyzed on your device to show pitch. It is never recorded, stored, or uploaded. If you decline microphone access, the app still plays reference notes so you can tune by ear.

What stays on your device

The app may save small preferences on the device (for example, whether you finished the 5-minute guide, and whether you last used Tuner or Start Here). That data does not leave the device. Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app removes it.

Internet

The app needs a network connection to load itself and to open links you choose, such as:

  • jaromin.com (including the post-guide Continue the Journey page)
  • YouTube play-along videos
  • chord and song PDFs

Those sites have their own privacy practices. We do not send them your microphone audio.

Children

The app can be used in classrooms and by beginners of many ages. We do not create accounts or knowingly collect personal information from children. The microphone stays on the device, as described above.

Your choices

You can deny or later revoke microphone permission in your device settings. You can uninstall the app at any time. Because we do not keep an app account or upload tuner audio, there is no profile on our servers to delete.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date.
