This kit includes everything you need to build your own 24.75″ VSL 4-string lap dulcimer.
Assembles in about an hour with no more than a screwdriver and some glue.

I purchased one of these kits from the company owner in person at a music festival. It was a fun family project to build. Kids each took some of the panels and painted them in their own way before we assembled it. What resulted was a nice patchwork of each of their artistic contributions and we have a nice sounding instrument at the end of the day. This is the first dulcimer in our house and is great for working with kids, due to the short VSL, or for anybody that wants to have a handy, lighweight and great sounding instrument nearby to strum on. I am returning to the website to purchase another kit to give as a gift. If you enjoy making music I recommend giving this kit a try. It is well priced, sounds great and is an instrument you can lay back in the recliner and peacefully strum away on. Of course, you can sit up and jam away on it too.
